Oblada melanurus (Linnaeus, 1758)
Porgies (Sparidae) are a family of perches (Perciformes), currently consisting of 35 genera and about 130 species.
They are 10 cm to about 2 m long fish that live in shoals in tropical and subtropical open oceans.
They are considered an important food fish in some regions.
They are of little importance to aquarists and are not imported.
