Scrippsia pacifica Torrey, 1909

Scrippsia is a genus of hydrozoans in the family Corynidae (monotypic with only one species, Scrippsia pacifica).

Scrippsia pacifica , bell up to 10, cm in diameter (adults), with a deep bell-shaped umbrella with 256 tentacles. A fist-sized jellyfish.

Very similar to Polyorchis penicillatus (Scrippsia pacifica can reach a larger size).
