Atys kuhnsi Pilsbry, 1917

Snails genus Haminoeidae have a bubble shaped shell.Therefore it is called bubble snails.All Haminoeidae snails are herbivorous.

Atys kuhnsi feeds on algae and vegetable detritus. This species is moderately common. Can be found in Halimeda kanaloana beds or mixed habitats at depths of 5-15 m. Depth range to at least 82 m. It is nocturnal in habit and buries itself in the sand during the day.
