Histiomena marginata is a spectacularly colored arminid. This species eat various species of gorgonians and the sea pen Ptilosarcus.
Histiomena convolvula has a very restricted known distribution. It is limited to just a few lo-cations in the northern Gulf of California: Punta Diggs and Bahía de los Ángeles, Baja California, and Bahía San Carlos, Sonora.
