This Cushon Starfish is enedemc to NewZealan. Dorsal colour variable from dark red-brown to dark grey to blue, often with adistinct band of deep red around the margin; smooth to glossy appearance when wet.
Very similar to Patiriella regularis, but smoother appearance when wet.
