Pseudoplexaura tenuis forms abundant and dichotomous branches in about one plane, the branches are thin, cylindrical, and arise mainly near the base of the colony, their diameter is ~ 4 - 6 mm.
When touching the coral, it quickly becomes clear that it produces a strong mucus.
The colour of living animals is usually greenish-yellow to yellow.
Pseudoplexaura tenuis is found in shallow reefs in South Florida and the Caribbean.
Predators: Flamingo tongue snails, Cyphoma spp, are common predators of Pseudoplexaura species.
