Crenavolva aureola (Fehse, 2002)
Crenavolva aureola is a marine gastropod in the family Ovulidae, the ovulids, cowry allies or false cowries.Occurs off the Philippines.
This small ovulid was on a gorgonian at night at Mainit. The tiny white spots are on the animal's mantle ( easy to identify because of it's white tipped papillae.); the shell is typically light orange to maroon.
