Info

Gobioides broussoneti Lacepède, 1800

Goiboides broussonetti are found in Central and South America. They inhabit there Brackish areas near the coast. Mainly living in hiding mostly muddy bottom, they can dig deep tunnels. Just for this reason rather not a candidate for an aquarium. They are mostly peaceful, unfortunately, much more is not known about Goiboides broussonetti.

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
