Nausithoe punctata Kölliker, 1853

Small, disk-shaped, thick jellyfish with a finely warty surface.The diameter of the disc extends to about 15 mm, the central region is about 2.5 wider than high.

The color of the jellyfish varies from a jelly-transparent-milky, greenish or light brown.

There are two growth stages, the jellyfish polyp stage and the stage of subadult animals.
