Cyerce nigra Bergh, 1871

Cyerce nigra has black, white and yellow striped cerata.It is commonly known as Black cyerce.The Black cyerce lives on sandy bottom,on algae fields in shallow water or seldom on coral fields.These species feeds on algae genus Udotea, especially on Udotea geppiorum.

Similar is Cyerce nigricans.These nudibranch have no striped cerata. It have coloured and banded cerata with spots. In contrast to Cyerce nigra, C.nigricans feed on Chlorodesmis fastigiata (turtle weed).
