Sclerodoris apiculata have usually a dull-brown or yellowish background colour with a firm, sponge-like mantle. Papillae are fluid filled and can be fully retracted.
This nudibranch can be found in shallow water and in intertidal muddy area.
Sclerodoris apiculata exclusively feeds on sponges.
