Halimeda cylindracea Decaisne, 1842

Halimeda is a genus of green macroalgae. The algal body (thallus) is composed of calcified green segments.

Halimeda cylindracea: Thallus grass-green, erect, to 10 cm tall, excluding the bulbous holdfast consisting of numerous filaments that bind the substratum; exposed part generally dichotomously but sparingly branched.

This green algae occurs in the warmer waters of the Indo-Pacific.
