The red star should not be kept in new started tanks.
According to my opinion, red stars don't live long in our tanks, as we cannot offer them the right food.
Red color, stars from the red sea have irregular points.

Ich habe zwei Fromia milleporella fast 1 Jahr lang ohne Probleme gehalten und dachte noch, was soll an der Haltung schon schwer sein. Bis ich einen Atrosalarias fuscus (Schleimfisch) mit einem riesen Appetit auf Algen gekauft habe. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit hat der Schleimfisch wirklich alle "Belagsalgen" inclusive dem darin enthaltenen Kleingetier verputzt.Leider sind die Fromia kurze Zeit später, wie ich jetzt stark vermutet, durch diesen Nahrungskonkurrenten verhungert.Deshalb sollte der im Lexikon enthaltene Hinweis auf Zufütterung auf jeden Fall berücksichtigt werden.Leider für meine zwei Fromia zu spät.
