Husbandry

Conus coelinae Crosse, 1858

Like all species within the genus Conus, Celine's cone is predatory and venomous.

Conus coelinae is a rather rare cone. They are usually in sand pockets. Shells of living animals are always covered with a thick brown periostracum; the shell itself is white to light cream colored.

Similar to Conus virgo, but differs in its lack of a purple anterior tip.

Celine's cone feeds on bristle worms.
