Captive breeding / propagation

The offspring of Sclerophytum shlagmani are possible. Unfortunately, the number of offspring is not large enough to cover the demand of the trade. If you are interested in Sclerophytum shlagmani, please ask your dealer for offspring. If you already own Sclerophytum shlagmani, try breeding yourself. This will help to improve the availability of offspring in the trade and to conserve natural stocks.

Info

Sclerophytum shlagmani colonies were first discovered in 2012 around Saint-Paul, Récif des Colimaçons, Saint-Pierre, Terre Sainte, Saint-Leu and Pointedes Châteaux, Reunion Island in the Western Indian Ocean.
