Distribution
Eastern Atlantic: Senegal to Angola; also from the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, and around islands in the Gulf of Guinea.

Biology:
Adults inhabit rocky areas.
Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding.
Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate. Males guard and aerate the eggs.
